Richard L. Erving, a 36-year-old man from Chicago, IL, tragically lost his life on May 17, 2021. He was found unresponsive with gunshot wounds to his chest in the 12200 block of South Halsted Street in the West Pullman neighborhood. Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Cook County medical examiner's office confirmed that the cause of death was gunshot wounds to the chest.
