Alvaro Ruiz Jr., an 18-year-old Hispanic male from Waukegan, IL, tragically lost his life on July 19, 2022. The incident occurred in the parking lot of an apartment complex located in the 2400 block of Samson Way. According to the Lake County Coroner’s Office, Alvaro Ruiz Jr. died from multiple gunshot wounds. The Waukegan Police Department responded to a call of shots fired around 10:20 p.m. that evening.
