Martin Reyes Cervantes, a 30-year-old Hispanic male from North Chicago, was tragically killed on August 26, 2021, in Waukegan, Illinois. The incident occurred in the 1400 block of Lorraine Place, where Cervantes and another man were shot by a masked gunman. Cervantes sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other victim, a Waukegan man in his 40s, was shot in the head and survived after undergoing surgery.
