Tyron L. Patrick, a 34-year-old African American male from Waukegan, Illinois, tragically lost his life on June 13, 2021. On that fateful morning, the Waukegan Police Department and Fire Department responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired in the 1600 block of 11th Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered a vehicle that had crashed into a building. Inside the vehicle, Tyron Patrick was found slumped over the steering wheel, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lake County Coroner, Jennifer Banek. An autopsy confirmed that Patrick died from these gunshot wounds.

Following the new charges for murder, Taylor's bond was set at $10 million.
