Emanuel Azan Perez, a 22-year-old Hispanic male from Waukegan, Illinois, tragically lost his life on February 19, 2022. Emanuel was shot multiple times during an attempted robbery in the parking lot of a Walmart Supercenter located at 3900 Fountain Square Place in Waukegan. The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. when Emanuel, along with Desteny Rodriguez, who is also in her 20s and resides in Round Lake Beach, met with two males in their 20s in the parking lot.
