On February 24, 2024, Rodrigo Olivan, a 28-year-old resident of Waukegan, Illinois, was fatally shot along with another victim, Ana Gil, 24, also from Waukegan. The incident occurred in the 400 block of Powell Avenue in Waukegan. The Waukegan Fire Department and Waukegan Police Department responded to the scene around 4:20 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.
