David Algerine Crawford, a 45-year-old white male, served as the Sheriff of Johnson County, Georgia. On February 5, 1903, while attempting to serve a warrant in Harrison, Georgia, he was fatally shot. The warrant was for a man wanted on gambling charges and suspected in two murders.
