Tariq Jamil Dunston Jr., a 23-year-old resident of Covington, Georgia, tragically lost his life on September 21, 2023, due to a shooting incident.

The incident occurred early in the morning when Newton County deputies were called to a residence on Kirkland Road at approximately 2:58 a.m. Upon arrival, they found Tariq Dunston, who had been shot. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
