In a quiet home on Highway 142 in Covington, Georgia, a tragedy unfolded that left two people dead. On the evening of June 13, 2017, law enforcement responded to a call reporting a person had been shot. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the bodies of 72-year-old Oscar Goggins and 63-year-old Elizabeth Goggins. Both individuals had suffered from gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner.
