Julien R. Wyant, a 24-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 4, 2016, in Covington, Georgia. His body was discovered around 8 p.m. at the Orchard Cove apartment complex on Grosslake Parkway. Julien was found lying face down in a parking area, having been shot multiple times. The investigation into his death revealed that he had been the victim of a fatal shooting, which led to a thorough investigation by the Newton County Sheriff's Office.
