Caylen Gooch, a 19-year-old African American male from Covington, Georgia, was tragically found shot to death on August 11, 2015. His body was discovered lying in the road in the Pebble Brook neighborhood, off Browns Bridge Road near Covington. At the time of his death, Caylen was not carrying any identification, which initially delayed the identification process. However, he was later identified as a resident of Newton County, and his family was notified of his untimely demise.
