On July 12, 2024, Troy Eaton, a 60-year-old resident of Covington, Georgia, was fatally shot at a property located at 8150 Lakeview Drive, known as Lakeview Lakes, a popular spot for fishing tournaments.
The incident occurred during the preparations for a weekly fishing tournament, which Troy Eaton had been organizing for many years.
