Marla Minter-Brooks, a 26-year-old woman from Oakland, California, was tragically killed on the morning of September 19, 2017. She was found shot multiple times in the 600 block of Almanza Drive in the Sobrante Park neighborhood of East Oakland. Despite being rushed to a hospital, she succumbed to her injuries later that day. The motive for her killing was not immediately clear, and initial investigations did not yield any arrests.
