Anthony Walker, a 34-year-old African American man, was tragically shot and killed on September 19, 2014, in Augusta, Georgia. The incident occurred early in the morning on Second Avenue, where Walker was found with a gunshot wound to his stomach. Despite being rushed to Georgia Regents Medical Center, he was pronounced dead at 6:30 a.m. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab in Atlanta was expected to perform an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
