Ronald Kearse, a 60-year-old African American man, was tragically killed on June 17, 2017, in Augusta, Georgia. The incident occurred late at night at his home on Vernon Drive. Ronald Kearse was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after midnight. The cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds inflicted by his son, Perry Kearse, who was 25 years old at the time. Perry Kearse fled the scene but was apprehended by authorities around 2:30 a.m. the following morning.
