On the night of October 27, 2016, Alexis Dashiells, a 34-year-old African American male, was fatally shot in Augusta, Georgia. The incident occurred at the intersection of Barnes Lane and Jenkins Street, where Dashiells was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his abdomen. Authorities received the call at 11:18 p.m., and Dashiells was rushed to Augusta University Medical Center.
