Ahmad Popal, a 23-year-old Muslim man from Augusta, Georgia, was tragically shot and killed in the early hours of June 21, 2020. The incident occurred outside The Scene nightclub on Broad Street in Augusta. Ahmad had been involved in an altercation earlier that night with the suspect, Terrence Cumber, a 24-year-old man.
