In the late summer of 2015, a life was tragically cut short in Athens, Georgia. Trequavious Trey Treasure-Marqua Elder, a 19-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on August 20, 2015. The incident that led to his untimely death unfolded at the North Grove Apartment complex located on Old Hull Road. An argument between Elder and another man escalated, shattering the peace of the evening and ending in violence.
