Cierra Ford, a 25-year-old African American woman, was tragically killed on November 25, 2016, in Sandy Springs, a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia. Ford was a communications major at Clark Atlanta University, where she was pursuing her dream of becoming a journalist. Originally from California, she had moved to Atlanta to continue her education and was known for her intelligence, charisma, and vibrant sense of humor.
