Mollian 'Molly' Johnson, a 43-year-old female, was found deceased alongside her 25-year-old daughter, Kaylyn Samuels, and her two young grandchildren, five-year-old Jedorah Powell and one-year-old Jontavious Powell.
The scene, discovered during a welfare check prompted by family and her daughter's employer, painted a grim picture of a domestic tragedy that had unfolded days prior.
Authorities identified the suspect as 32-year-old Jonathan Darden, Mollian Johnson's live-in boyfriend. The investigation concluded that Darden shot and killed Johnson, Samuels, and the two children before turning the gun on himself. All five individuals were found with gunshot wounds inside the apartment at the Vineyards at Flat Shoals complex. While the motive remains under investigation, family members revealed that Johnson had been making plans to leave Darden.
