On June 23, 2024, 35-year-old Heather Neely and her father, 58-year-old Stanley Neely, were fatally shot at the Freedom Park Apartments on Delano Road in South Fulton, Georgia. The incident occurred during a meeting to sell a vehicle, when an argument over payment escalated, leading the prospective buyer to open fire. Both father and daughter died at the scene.
