A quiet evening in Macon, Georgia, turned into a scene of tragedy on Monday, August 21, 2017, when 42-year-old Brijesh Kumar Patel was killed during a robbery at his place of work. Patel, a male clerk at the L&C Convenience Store on Hillcrest Boulevard, was discovered by two customers just after 10:00 p.m., lying on the floor behind the counter with multiple gunshot wounds. The cash register was open and empty, signaling a robbery had taken place.
