Ishmael Hassan Saleem, a 47-year-old resident of Macon, Georgia, was fatally shot on January 19, 2023. The incident occurred in the 2300 block of Lincoln Street, where deputies from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a person shot just before 2:00 a.m. Upon arrival, they found Saleem unresponsive in a Saturn Aura, having been shot in the chest. He was transported to Atrium Health, where he was pronounced dead by medical staff.
