Akeem Turner, a 21-year-old African American male from Suwanee, GA, was tragically killed on October 14, 2017, in Duluth, GA. Turner was found dead from apparent gunshot wounds on the stairway of an apartment complex at 4146 Plantation Trace Drive. The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. when Turner met Alexander Powell, a 17-year-old former Duluth High School basketball player, in the apartment parking lot.
