In the fading daylight of October 30, 2019, a tragic incident unfolded in a Duluth, Georgia, apartment that would claim the life of 13-year-old Jair Gonzalez. A Hispanic male, Jair was at his home in the Portico Apartments on Preston Park Drive with a 14-year-old friend when their afternoon took a devastating turn. The two boys, both students at Duluth Middle School, were playing with a gun they had found inside the residence.
