Jamelle Brightwell, a 19-year-old African American male from Athens, GA, tragically lost his life on April 1, 2019. The incident occurred at the Bethel Midtown Village apartment complex, where Jamelle was fatally shot. The Athens-Clarke County police quickly identified Marquavius Devante Knox, a 28-year-old African American male, as the primary suspect in the case.
