In the early morning hours of a Sunday in April 2020, the life of 46-year-old Nicole Wagner of Berry, Kentucky, was tragically cut short. Responding to a call to assist the Harrison County Sheriff's Office, Kentucky State Police troopers discovered her deceased inside a vehicle on Price Lane. An investigation by law enforcement revealed that a verbal argument had taken a fatal turn.
The female victim was pronounced dead at the scene by the Harrison County Coroner's Office, her death the result of a gunshot wound. The investigation led to the arrest of 50-year-old Donald Bottoms of Sadieville. Authorities allege that following a verbal dispute with Wagner, Bottoms used a handgun, which resulted in her death.
Bottoms was subsequently charged with murder and taken into custody at the Bourbon County Detention Center. The Kentucky State Police, Post 6 in Dry Ridge, is leading the ongoing investigation into the incident that ended a woman's life and led to a man's arrest on a charge of murder.
