John Lamar, a 50-year-old Black man, was killed in the early hours of November 4, 2019, inside a Texaco gas station convenience store on Memorial Drive in Stone Mountain, Georgia. The night appears to have narrowed down to a confrontation between just two men inside the store: Lamar and the overnight clerk.
