John Jeffery Turner, a 56-year-old white male from Gillsville, Georgia, was found dead on November 22, 2019. Turner, who was born in Gainesville, Georgia, was a business owner and active member of his community. He was discovered at his home on Highway 323 in Gillsville with a fatal gunshot wound. The Banks County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call at approximately 6:43 p.m. and found Turner deceased upon arrival.
