On the morning of October 30, 2021, Tucson police responded to a reported shooting at an apartment complex located at 2550 North Dodge Boulevard, near Flower Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 26-year-old Gary Marcel Melton suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, Melton was pronounced dead at the scene.
