Roger Dennis Tackett, a 35-year-old white male, was tragically murdered on June 17, 1979, in Cobb County, Georgia. Tackett was the manager of a Tenneco self-service gasoline station. On the night of his death, he had come to the station to lock up after closing and to catch up on paperwork. This was so he could spend Father's Day with his family the next day.
