On a tragic afternoon in Augusta, Georgia, the lives of two men were cut short in a violent shooting. Wyman Scott, a 34-year-old male, was killed on November 23, 2020. The incident, which also claimed the life of 48-year-old Mequel Freeman, unfolded inside Johnson's Beauty and Barber Salon on Eve Street. The discovery of the two men's bodies by a customer in the early afternoon marked the beginning of a double homicide investigation that would lead to the arrest of three suspects.
