Carlos Benford, a 36-year-old African American man, was tragically found dead on April 13, 2021, in Griffin, Georgia. His body, along with that of 29-year-old Joshua Wyatt, was discovered in the bed of a burned-out pickup truck in a rural area along Jackson Road near the Butts County line. The discovery was made by firefighters and deputies who responded to the scene.
