In the late hours of a Tuesday in Augusta, Georgia, the life of 37-year-old Corey Lamont Thomas was tragically cut short. On September 28, 2021, Thomas was shot and killed at the Level 9 Bar & Lounge located on Damascus Road. The incident was one of several violent altercations at the establishment, which had a history of shootings and stabbings.
