Corey Lamont Thomas, a 37-year-old African American male from Augusta, GA, tragically lost his life on September 28, 2021. The incident occurred outside Level 9, a bar located on Damascus Road in Augusta. Corey was shot at least once in the early hours of the morning. Despite being rushed to Augusta University Medical Center by emergency medical services, he was pronounced dead around 9:45 a.m. the same day.
