Dwayne Lane, a 52-year-old African American man from Augusta, GA, was found dead in his home on Bayvale Road on December 30, 2019. The Richmond County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call and discovered Lane with apparent gunshot wounds. Following an autopsy, his death was ruled a homicide. Lane was remembered as a generous spirit who loved to hunt and spend time with family and friends. He worked as a plumber and was survived by his wife, son, several siblings, and his parents.
