In the early summer of 2015, the life of Mack Donald Nelson, a 46-year-old man from Augusta, Georgia, was tragically cut short. On the evening of Thursday, June 4, 2015, Nelson was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound in the 2500 block of Lionel Street. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
