In the early morning hours of November 21, 2024, tragedy struck in Augusta, Georgia, when 50-year-old Chavious Kimmerlin was found shot to death inside his own home on Highland Avenue. The Richmond County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of shots fired around 7:15 a.m. and discovered Kimmerlin unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.
