A sense of normalcy was shattered on the afternoon of Friday, August 21, 2026, in Augusta, Georgia, when gunfire erupted in the 3800 block of Old Waynesboro Road. The incident, which occurred around 3:58 p.m., left two individuals with gunshot wounds. Responding deputies from the Richmond County Sheriff's Office discovered a man and a woman at the scene, both of whom had been struck by the gunfire.
