In a tragic turn of events on a Saturday night in Augusta, Georgia, 61-year-old Victor Leon 'Vic' Perkins lost his life in his home on McNutt Road. On August 18, 2018, Richmond County officials responded to a call and discovered Perkins with a single gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 11:00 p.m.
