On a tragic evening in Macon, Georgia, the life of 26-year-old Roctavia 'Punky' Edwards, an African American woman, was cut short. On July 26, 2022, a shooting broke out at the Waverly Pointe apartments on Forest Hill Road. Edwards was remembered as a free-spirited and loving individual with a contagious smile.
