Roctavia Edwards, a 26-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on July 26, 2022, in Macon, Georgia. The incident occurred at the Waverly Pointe apartments on Forest Hill Road, where a shooting took place, resulting in the deaths of Roctavia Edwards and 17-year-old Jayden Ellington. Two other teenagers were also injured in the shooting. The Bibb County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
