On a summer evening in Baltimore, Maryland, the life of 53-year-old Jacqueline Parker, an African-American female, was tragically cut short in a brazen act of violence. On July 7, 2015, Parker was with a group of people near the University of Maryland-Baltimore campus when two vans suddenly pulled up. Two gunmen emerged and unleashed a hail of gunfire into the crowd, killing Parker and two other individuals, 34-year-old Gerald Thompson and 39-year-old Lamont Randall.
