On the night of Nov. 24, 2025, Chloe Weems, a 29-year-old Black woman from Baltimore, was fatally shot during a double shooting in West Baltimore. Police were called to the 900 block of Poplar Grove Street shortly before 11 p.m., where they found Weems suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the rapid response by officers and medics, she was pronounced dead at the scene, her life ending on the sidewalk of a residential block that had already seen its share of violence.
