Sylvie Louis, a 54-year-old Black woman, tragically lost her life on March 2, 2018, in West Palm Beach, Florida. The incident occurred in the 2900 block of Hiawatha Avenue, an unincorporated area of Palm Beach County. Sylvie Louis was fatally shot by Javonte Carter, a 22-year-old man who was the ex-boyfriend of her daughter, Jenny Pierre-Louis.
