Carl Huggens Rene Jr., a 19-year-old Black male, tragically lost his life on June 28, 2020, in West Palm Beach, Florida. The incident occurred during a confrontation that escalated into violence. According to reports, Carl Huggens Rene Jr. and his girlfriend traveled from Tallahassee to West Palm Beach, where his girlfriend discovered that Rene had another girlfriend. This revelation led to a planned fight between the two women at the Waverly Apartments, located off Summit Pines Boulevard.
