Elvis Garcia-Gonzalez, a 30-year-old decorated combat veteran of the U.S. Army, tragically lost his life on August 8, 2015, in Bakersfield, California. Garcia-Gonzalez was at the El Escorpion Bar in South Bakersfield when he was approached by Gabriel Verdugo Jr. The two men engaged in an argument that escalated quickly.
