A 15 year old disappears; is later found dead in the middle of a road
On February 10, 1999, the body of 15-year-old Ashley Ouellette was discovered lying in the middle of Pine Point Road in Scarborough, Maine, by a passing motorist. Ashley, a sophomore at Thornton Academy in Saco, had spent the evening at a friend’s house in Saco, and was last seen alive around 2 a.m. Her death was ruled a homicide, with the autopsy revealing that she had been strangled.
