In the summer of 2004, in the small town of Lee, Maine, a domestic dispute turned fatal, ending the life of 51-year-old Rosemarie Dyer. On July 2nd, inside her home, Rosemarie was shot in the leg with a shotgun. She was rushed to the Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, where she was listed in critical condition. Despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries two days later, on July 4, 2004.
