Javonta Crandall, a 20-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 5, 2022, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. The incident occurred during a drive-by shooting at the intersection of Sunset Avenue and May Drive. Javonta was in the passenger seat of a sedan when he was fatally shot. The driver of the vehicle sustained a hand injury and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
