Tony Wilkins, a 41-year-old male of African American ethnicity, was tragically killed on June 30, 2010, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. He was found in his apartment at 520 Cascade Avenue, Apartment D, where he had been shot twice in the face and head, and also stabbed in the neck with a knife that remained lodged in his neck when police arrived. The incident occurred around 9:10 AM, and a neighbor reported hearing a gunshot shortly after seeing someone enter Wilkins' apartment.
