Dominique Montrell Barnes, a 30-year-old African American male from Rocky Mount, North Carolina, tragically lost his life on February 25, 2022. The incident occurred at the Executive Inn motel located on North Wesleyan Boulevard in Rocky Mount. According to reports, Barnes was found unresponsive in the parking lot of the motel, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite being transported to Nash UNC Health Care, he succumbed to his injuries.
